Power Pressure Cooker XL 10 Quart Review
Here’s the scenario: It’s 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning (Christmas morning). You’re up this early because you need a head start to cook the ham, the pot roast
It would normally take 3-4 hours for the turkey to bake and another 3 hours for a family-sized ham to bake. We haven’t even included the pot roast. What’s worse, you still haven’t finished making the sides – like the collard greens, the candied yams, the mashed potatoes, and the stuffing.
You’re feeling frazzled. How are you going to get all of this done?
It’s not just Christmas… it’s Sunday dinner… and the Super Bowl
While I used Christmas as the scenario, this scene could easily be on a Sunday when you’re fretting over what to make for your family of 7 for Sunday dinner. It could also easily be Super Bowl Sunday – when all of your husband’s friends are over to watch the game, and they want tons of finger foods like buffalo wings and meatballs.
Now, imagine this…
What if I told you that you could cook (for your family of 7), a large turkey in under 1 hour and retain all its juicy goodness? And what if I told you, you could cook a pork roast in 30 minutes – and that it would be so soft and tender you could pull it apart?
What if you could cook spaghetti and meatballs in one pot, and have it done in 10 minutes?
Well, now you can – With the 10 quart Power Pressure Cooker XL. Read my Power Pressure Cooker XL 10 quart review and see why this is a must-have kitchen appliance. But first, I want you to watch this very, very short video on how fast and easy it is to cook a huge turkey in the Power Pressure Cooker XL 10 quart.

@Megan: Hi there. Thanks for stopping by. The power pressure cooker is also a slow cooker. So you can still make homemade pumpkin or tomato soup! Enjoy.
@Lakisha: It absolutely can cook spaghetti right out of the box! Do you have kids? This is perfect for families. Thanks for stopping by!
@Penelope: I didn’t know about crisping the chickens in the oven too. Had I not read about that, I wouldn’t have bought one either. So glad you enjoyed my post.
Great tip about finishing off turkeys and chickens in the oven for crispy skins! I hadn’t heard that before, but now I’m more likely to try my pressure cooker again since I can have the best of both worlds 🙂
Oh wow! I have always wondered what the pressure cooker can do but, I never would of had a clue that it could perform all those duties. I have so many kitchen gadgets it is not even funny. It seems like the pressure cooker would replace almost all of those gadgets. I am really amazed that it can cook uncooked noodles right out of the box. Now, that is amazing. Amazing review and thank you for sharing.
@Sylvia: Hi Sylvia. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’m so glad my review was instrumental in helping you decide to buy a Power Pressure Cooker XL. I have one. It really is the bomb!
What a delicious and juicy post. I really have enjoyed your article and I am certainly interested to get my hands on this Pressure Cooker. I always thought of it but never found enough information about it.
Glad I have found your site you have explained everything I needed to know.

@Lee Redfearn: Thanks for visiting my blog and giving me feedback! I really try to engage the visitors.
@terri: Thanks for visiting my blog. Yes, I had an old fashioned one that exploded and burned my dog! Yes, you can use the 6 qt one for small families. Thanks for the comments.
This seems perfect for a family of three…we’re lo-carb/ketogenics so I love your comment about making protein accessible! My mom used to have a stovetop one and she used it all the time…cooking, canning, etc. It would scare me to death as a kid to see that thingy jittering on top, like it was going to explode any second.
Sounds like they’ve really perfected the best of pressure cooking with this model! Thanks for the comprehensive review!
I love your review, in depth and interactive. Love the way you put the reader at the heart of the scenario. Beautiful!
Wow! I had no idea a pressure cooker was so versatile. I had never considered purchasing one before but your article has me reconsidering that. I do love my slow cooker, especially in winter, and coming home to the smell of homemade pumpkin or tomato soup wafting through the house. However, the idea of a pressure cooker cooking a meal in minutes is amazing. Especially given I have a teenage son who can polish off a meal in 5 minutes that I slaved over for hours!
